After being blatantly told that they were looking for younger employees, "someone out of college", and that he was "too old", all of which is illegal, he decided to totally change gears and go to security training. What he found was that employers would not hire him. Eventually he began s earching for new employment. In desperation but not defeated he started and tried running Aural Temple Recording, which never got enough business to stay afloat. The phone number no longer exists and neither does the email website but there is still a Facebook page that he no longer has access to.

When his employer passed away and that business was purchased by another, the new owners fired everyone and installed all their own personnel. After thirteen years of marriage he went through a messy divorce and started his own ministry performing his services for other local ministries. While continuing to create music, he also recorded for friends, made some commercials for radio, assisted at live venues, taught himself videography and recorded audio and video at local churches all for extra cash. Working a day job, supporting his growing family with a second child on the way and eventually getting married, there was never any time to pursue a career in music. While in his final year of High School he attended trade school at Audio Recording Technology Institute for audio engineering and just as things started to come together, life had other plans for him. Writing parts on guitar, bass, and keyboards he found the need to assemble a band to perform his songs. By the time he was in High School his interest in poems had shifted to lyric writing and setting those lyrics to music to create songs. Whole Note Music Media is the project of G Michael who began writing poems in Jr High School.
